The prizes were presented to the winners particularly Andy Pickles, Steve Burns and Steve Stubs; also thanks to Bernard Woods who helped organize the night. There were however, plenty of pasties and pies left at the end of the night which I had asked staff to take downstairs. Also a presentation of the new John Atherton Memorial cup: Johns son, Gary presented the cup to Ged Grant as the winner Kev Sephton was on holiday again .Darts competition won by Danny Mennell and an applicated member Jimmy Shields, and dominoes also won by Danny Mennell and Jimmy Shields. Danny orgainised the draw and management of the compeitions. Sounds ‘iffy’ to me. Thanks to all who attended

It has also been reported that Bob Goodchild an active member of the Society, particularly in the 1990s has also passed away, his ashes will be laid to rest in Taylors Hole. RIP Bob;, his ashes will be laid to rest with his father Jack who was also a member of the Society and whose ashes were also laid to rest in Taylors Hole There has also been other sad losses during the past 2/3 years including Terry Isherwood, Roy Guest, John Atherton and Wilf Hindley
Another piece of Sad news for the Members of IWAS, yesterday the passing away of one of our senior members, Colin Grainey, Colin has been in the Society for many, many years and has been a regular on Taylors Hole helping Bernard Woods keeping the water clean, tidy and safe. Colin will be missed by many of his colleagues who he fished with regularly on the water. Thanks for all your work Collin and REST IN PEACE. 5 january 2022

AGAIN POACHING AT NIGHT TO TAKE FISH REPORTED BY RESIDENTS = NO TACKLE
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AND HOPE THAT YOU ARE ALL KEEPING WELL.
The stocking of Taylors hole went ahead with a number of Commons and Mirrors – average size around 1.75lbs. To help our pleasure anglers who had requested that a number of Tench be introduced, a number of Tench were also stocked into the water.

Many of our members of the Society who have been involved in the Society for many years will remember with fondness Lawrence Derbyshire. Lawrence was a keen match anglers with his best successes in the 1970,s. Sadly Lawrence passed away on Monday 22nd June, 2020 and will be missed by many members of the Society and his family. An additional plaque has been added to the bench on Taylors hole to recognize the past contribution of Terry Isherwood, who sadly passed away last year. Terry’s wife Doreen expressed her preference for the wording Terry ‘Tish’ Isherwood.
WILL MEMBERS REMEMBER TO USE A MAXIMUM OF 50 LBS IN EACH KEEP NET.
