Rules of the society for Pleasure section.

PLEASURE ANGLING ONLY SECTION.

General Rules:-

1. The number of Pleasure Anglers in this section can be increased or decreased on recommendation of the committee after discussion at a suitable committee meeting.
2. All members must be respectful and civil to other anglers on the water.
3. The minimum age for pleasure anglers shall be 18.
4. Annual fees will be decided at the Annual General Meeting.
5. Each financial year begins on the 1st of January and ends on the 31st of December. Subscriptions must be paid by the 31st of December for the following year.
6. Members will need to be in possession of Environment Agency rod licences. Taylors Hole is regularly checked by Environment Agency inspectors.
7. Members are not eligible to attend Society meetings.
8. Members are not eligible to fish any matches on Taylors Hole nor any matches in the Championship.
9. Members are not allowed to take visitors fishing on Taylors Hole.
10. Members are allowed to take their children/grandchildren under the age of 16 but the following rules apply:-.
i. Juniors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by the parent or guardian who is a member of the Society.
ii. Parents or guardians shall at all times be responsible for juniors whilst fishing or being on Society premises.
iii. Juniors should be in possession of an Environment Agency rod licence from the age of 13 years onwards.
11. Applications for Pleasure Angling membership shall be submitted to the secretary of The Society who will present them at the following committee meeting.

Some General Angling Rules:-

1. The use of keepnets is prohibited.
2. Landing nets must be used at all times.
3. Barbless hooks only, maximum size 12.
4. Live/dead baiting is prohibited.
5. Any kind of lure fishing is prohibited.
6. Membership cards/handbooks must be carried at all times when on Taylors Hole.

 

 

Limitations on use of Taylors Hole:-

1. Taylors Hole is not available for pleasure fishing on Sundays when the Winter League is in action. These matches finish at 2pm.
2. Taylors Hole is not available for pleasure fishing on Wednesday evenings when the Summer League is in action. These matches start at 6pm and finish at 9pm. Any anglers on the pond must vacate the water at least 2 hours previous to the start of the match.
